Is Jesus Your Savior?

There are so many things I enjoy spending my time learning and doing, as you can probably guess. My heart longs to help other women learn new skills that will help them enjoy the work God has called them to, being a helpmeet to their husbands and a keeper of their homes. I believe that these skills are blessings in a women’s life. However, the biggest blessing anyone could receive is salvation from the Lord, Jesus Christ.

Below is an excerpt from an email I sent my aunt a while back. I love her dearly and have been praying for her salvation. I also pray that anyone that stumbles upon this website would also stumble into the arms of Jesus.

I talked to Mom tonight and she said she had talked you. What she told me about your co-workers just made me sick. I remember you saying before how they wouldn’t work, and what not, but I didn’t realize how bad it was. It also made me really sad because these people claim to be Christians but represent Christ in such a bad way. I just want you to know that they are not representative of the true Christ of the Bible. Honestly though, I guess none of us really are. I try to be a good example of Christ’s love, but so often I fall short. I want to apologize to you for 2 things. One, I haven’t been a good example of someone who truly loves Christ. For years I called myself a Christian, and thought that I was saved, but lived a life full of sin. When I was 23, I asked Jesus to be my Savior and dedicated my life to Him. I made Him more than just an eternal life insurance and instead sought a relationship with my Savior. I still find myself not being the Christian I would like to be, but so thankful to the Lord for His grace and His mercy towards me. Second, I want to say that I am sorry for not sharing this with you before. If I truly love Jesus and believe Him to be the only way to eternal salvation, I should be sharing His love with others…especially those who I love. Honestly, I have wanted to many times, but didn’t want to jeopardize our relationship. I think so highly of you and have always looked up to you. I didn’t want you to feel that I was trying to push my “religion” on you. I hope that you will know my heart and know that I am writing with love for you.

My heart has really hurt since Pappa died. I don’t know if he was saved or not. I don’t know if he trusted Jesus to be his savior. I think of all the times I could have shared Jesus with him, and didn’t because I was afraid of what he would say or think. I don’t want anyone that I love to die not knowing Jesus. I am going to share some Bible verses with you. I hope you will read them. I have been praying for you, but not like I should be. I need to pray more for all of my family.

I love you,
Jasmine

Galatians 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

–Jesus died for our sins

John 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For god sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
I Corinthians 15:3-4
Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;
And that He was buried, and that He rose again, the third day according to the Scriptures

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Romans 10:9-13
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Ephesians 2 :8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

–God wants us to be saved and spend eternity with Him
1 Timothy 2:3-6
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Revelation 3:19-21
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in His throne.
